Tether supports Peter McCormack in Court
Lately Tether made a huge announcement. According to it, Tether supports Peter McCormack in his lawsuit against Craig Wright. Wright calls himself a BTC creator. But there are huge doubts about that and not without the reason.
But it is not all the news. As it was announced, Tether rejects another Wright’s claim. This one is about the fact that Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto. On the 8th of November Stuart Hoegner explained Tether’s position. He stated that Wright had had a lot of opportunities to prove his words. But he did not do anything about it so far.
As it was reported, Wright posted a claim against McCormack. McCormack accused Wright of trying to cheat on the people. According to him, Wright’s stating he is the Satoshi Nakamoto is a fraud. It means that Wright has nothing to do with BTC creation.
Tether supports Peter McCormack and plays against Wright. Surprise? Not quite so.
Commenting the situation, Stuart Hoegner explained that Tether stays for McCormack in this case. The Tether’s representatives mentioned that they will support McCormack not just by words. However McCormack’s layer made no explanations about the matter. So the exact way of support is still unclear.
At the same time there was an announcement saying that McCormack and Tether are prepared for the long game. The litigation is a long and exhausting process. The parties involved should be prepared.
However, it is not the only one dispute Wright is involved into. He is a figurant in a number of related cases as well. There is another case, powered by David Kleinman, his former business partner. The court revealed the fact that Wright’s promises to finance 500,000 BTC is false.
