Bitcoin has a new record mark – $68,500
Despite the various changes that are taking place in the cryptocurrency market, the bitcoin exchange rate has shown a new historical maximum – $ 68,500. The ether rate did not wait and also rose to $4,840.
In the current 24 hours alone, the rate of the MTC has jumped by 3%, and in the last 7 days – by 10.5%. Similar indicators were achieved by another crypto currency, which has grown by 1.5% over the past 24 hours. To date, bitcoin is the leader in the cryptocurrency market with a value of 43.7%. Ether, in turn, amounted to 19.3%.
The trend towards the growth of cryptocurrencies is fueled by the fear of inflation that reigns among US investors. Another significant reason for the rise can be called the Bitcoin futures ETF in the United States. In just 2 days, the ProShares fund was able to raise over $1 billion.
Michael Saylor, who is the CEO of MicroStrategy, noted that at one time ETFs for bitcoin and other types of cryptocurrencies will be able to give trillions of dollars. He believes that investors will withdraw money from common instruments, including gold, to invest in cryptocurrency. Although for now, such operations will require approval to launch an ETF with direct investments in bitcoin. A few investors are interested in BTC futures funds.
