Africa will define the future of BTC, they say
Africa will define the future of BTC, one of the predictions says. One of the most famous BTC’s proponents came to this conclusion after having finished the tour around the black continent.
Jack Dorsey, one of the most famous BTC’s proponents, mentioned that in his Tweeter. He said he is about to return back to Africa as soon as his trip around Nigeria and Ghana this month is over.

Africa will define the future of BTC, won’t it?
Dorsey made a comment about the increasing role of Africa in future, especially in everything connected to cryptocurrencies. He also said that he had scheduled to spend almost half a year there in Africa. He took this decision after having attended a Bitcoin meetup in Nigeria. Attending the event was part of Dorsey’s personal advocacy of the crypto-related matters and the cryptocurrencies in general.
Jack Dorsey is indeed famous for BTC’s support in all the fields. He pledged to integrate the tech module’s functionality into the social media. Another endorsement was about the Lightning Network. He saw it as a solution for the BTC’s users. According to Dorsey, Lightning Network should solve the issue with cryptocurrencies’ transfer fees.
The government is lingering while the world is changing
The interest in crypto market and related products is significant in Africa. According to Google’s statistics, Nigeria hits the top of the countries which are the most active in googling the topics related to crypto. South Africa is also in this top-active list which is not a matter of surprise.
Lagos, the capital and the biggest city in Nigeria, is not just a commercial center but is becoming a significant player in the crypto markets at the moment. However, its weight continues increasing in all the fields as far the city is becoming one of the largest cities on the continent.
Africa will define the future of BTC and the future in general, analytics say. The reason – extreme fast growth of population. Lagos is the city to become the most populous by the beginning of the 22nd century. Not unexpectedly, top-3 biggest cities by population will be located in Africa as well.
In spite of high level of interest to BTC, the government still considers cryptocurrencies to be a threat to the state and follows in the same direction China does. Just to remind, Chinese government bans cryptocurrency exchanges.
